2. 近來金融危機席捲全球，作為一群信仰群體的我們，應如何以信仰角度去反思近來迷你責券、金融體制的迷思或當中所帶出的問題？我們於11月20日的週四晚會的主題是「在金融危機下的信仰反思」，當中邀請了黃元山先生作分享，並由葉菁華教授及陳龍斌教授作回應，盼望各位踴躍參與。

最後，相信各同學都正努力不斷趕功課，願我們彼此守望及鼓勵，更重要是不忘為我們院長身體祈禱。

1. Information on the order of Chinese Theological books.
2. As a Christian community, how are we responding to the recent globalfinancial crisis? There will be a special talk on the theme " Christians'Reflection on Financial Crisis" by a guest speaker who is a professionalfinancier . Please join us this coming Thursday evening (20th November). Professor Francis Yip and Professor Common Chan will be the respondents to thistalk.

Finally, as we all studiously prepare for our term papers, may we continue toinspire and encourage each other, intercede for each other's need, andspecially pray for our dear Principal Professor Rev Lo Lung Kong, especiallyfor his health. In the midst of his busy schedule, may the Lord grant himwisdom, strength and great joy!

各位:

昨天在新聞中得知青川縣仍然發生達6.7級的餘震，有5百餘人死傷，加上天氣仍然惡劣，盼望我們仍要繼續努力，不停為當地災民、救援人員和受傷者祈禱，願主憐憫，施行拯救，使當地的災情減至最低，及能有更好的天氣。此外，更要為中共政府的振災官員祈禱，盼望他們能有效地為災民分配所需用的物資。

Dear All,

I have been a volunteer lately for this organisation in helping the people in distress after the quake, see attachment. Please assist us in the church and announce this association to the congregation for help. Rev Woo also a graduate of LtS some twenty years ago, works in this field over 15 years now.

Pray for him and his staff. They did even assist those of the volcano affected-homeless victims in Philippines some years ago with fund from HKSAR of over HKD1 million. Now also involved with those Myanmar students at LTS to set up a relief fund for them and their villages, they are awaiting for the visa so some co-workers would go directly to distribute the relief materials personally. As they make the distribution, they sing hymns and gospel songs and preach the
gospel to these people, not just giving out relief materials. Hundred came to Christ when they were in Philippines and in China (recent snow storm disaster).

Please ask God to bless them and their work, I might go up to Suichun with them if I could arrange the time. Pray for me too.

SU News 2008-05-15 為四川地震災民祈禱

各位同學：

當我們每天從新聞及報章中了解到有關四川地震所帶來災難性的消息時，看見每一張圖片、每一段報導、每一位死難者家屬的哀哭聲……，相信我們每一位內心都感到十分悲痛與哀傷。現在我們可以為他們做的，除了向有關機構捐款振災外，我們亦深信禱告是十分重要的。因此，我們願意為四川的災民獻上深切的祈禱，以此祝福我們的國土。此外，我們雖然有同學是從四川來的，但現知道她的家人平安無事，我們為此十分感恩。可是，我們知道仍有數萬計的人還在生死邊緣之間徘徊，生死未卜……。

所以，我們為了仍在瓦礫下掙扎的生還者、竭盡全力的救援人員、哀傷的死者家屬……等等，鼓勵大家從今天起，每天抽出至少15分鐘，特別為有關四川地震的一切事情祈禱。

盼望大家能在私禱中，為以下的事情祈禱：

1. 為仍被困在瓦礫下的生還者祈禱，願上帝賜他們有著堅韌的生命力，堅強的意志力，以及懷著生存的盼望，等候救援人員的來臨。
2. 為救援人員祈禱，雖然他們面對著不同的救援困難，更要徒步行幾十公里才到達災區，願上帝賜他們有更大的體力與韌力，堅強的意志力，努力拯救仍有生命氣息的災民。
3. 為死難者的家屬祈禱，願主親自安慰及觸摸他們的心，大施憐憫，抹乾每一位死難者家屬的眼淚。
4. 為國家能夠有更好的救援計劃及調配工作祈禱，願他們能爭取每一分每一秒，盡快抵達災區，施行救援，讓受災民能得到清潔的食水與糧食，以解燃眉之急。
5. 為正接受醫治的災民祈禱，因為他們正在簡陋及衛生水平惡劣的地方休養及接受治療，願上帝能憐憫他們，施展大能的手醫治他們的心、身、靈。
6. 為防止疫症出現祈禱，求主使當地的救援人員盡快適當地處理已死去的屍體，防止屍體發臭及產生疫症，令災區雪上加霜。

盼望我們以禱告築起保護四川受災者的圍牆，願我們一同努力。

SU News 2008-05-06 Pray for our Myanmar Classmates

Our dear Myanmar classmates,

We were all alarmed to hear of the disaster that hit your country the last three days. We read from CNN news that the death toll from the Myanmar cyclone is more than 15,000 people, and Myanmar's government has said, with at least 10,000 killed in the township of Bogalay alone. Survivors were facing their third night without electricity in the aftermath of the historic cyclone that also clogged roads with thousands of downed trees.

We prayed that you are able to keep in touch with your family and relatives, and they are being taken care of, if they happened to be in the place of tragedy. Please let us know what we can do for you and your family. Perhaps some of you are still having a tough time with your assignments and this disastrous news hit at such a bad time. May you all continue to stand strong in the Lord, have faith in Him.

Let us commit your country and her people in our prayers. We are also keeping you all in our prayers. As we question on why this incident happened, 2Co 12:9 But his answer was: "My grace is all you need, for my power is greatest when you are weak."

Be comforted in the Lord!

另外，今次的颱風對緬甸社會的破壞是十分嚴重，盼望我們一眾同學也可以在私禱中為他們祈禱，婷婷曾慰問他們，知道有部份的緬甸同學仍然未能與他們的家人聯絡，所以願我們能在祈禱中盡一份力，為他們的心情、家人的安全及緬甸政府及各國對災情的救援等事情祈禱，如在神樓的同學也多多慰問他們呢。謝謝。

Prayer Request from Dr. Wan

Dr.Wan's daughter Hiu Wah(曉華) is now in hospital of Canada because of low body temperature. She is under the help of respirator (呼吸機) and in coma.

Dr Wan asks for our prayer for the recovery of Hiu Wah, his ministry over there and his family.

親愛的主內弟兄姊妹：
謝謝你們的關心和代禱。

昨天曉華被送進醫院的“緊急深切治療部”（emergency ICU）的時候，體溫極低、血液因藥物而中毒、呼吸困難、心臟接近衰竭和昏迷。醫生叫我們到醫院的時候，以為是見她最後一面！但因為上帝的憐憫、也是你們切切的代求，曉華奇蹟地從死亡邊緣又走回來。

我們在醫院目睹這一切，心雖然痛，但充滿感恩。

現在曉華雖然仍然昏迷，但已經算脫離了最危急的情況，可以搬到“深切治療部”（ICU）照顧。但她的心臟仍然很衰弱（血壓是40/60），仍要靠機器才能夠呼吸。請繼續在你們的禱告中記念她。

我們在醫院禱告了許多、也想了許多。不過，實在太倦了，以後才跟你們有更多的分享。
