Book for Intro Hebrew Bible in Sem 2

Dear all,

Those who want to take "Introduction to Hebrew Bible" of next semester please PAY ATTENTION!

Dr. Nancy Tan is so kind that she remind us to prepare the Textbook for "Introduction to Hebrew Bible" of next semester during December.

Here is the information of the textbook:
"Introducing the Old Testament" by John Drane.
English version (CD-ROM should be included) can be ordered from Amazon(but remember not to order too much at one time, or it would spend more time to deliver), and the website is for you for reference.

There is also a Simplified Chinese version of Introducing the Old Testament by John Drane is available from Logos Publishing House. It contains the 13 chapters on OT, probably taken from Drane's Introducing the Bible, and there is no CD-ROM with the book. It's price is HK$40, and it has been approved by Nancy to be used as the textbook.

IT Test Workshop

Dear all,

Concerning that some of you are going to take the IT test, SU will prepare an IT Test workshop during December. Tang Cheung Yau (Selwyn) will be our lecturer. But the date has not yet confirmed. Since we want to involve as many students as possible, I'd like to negotiate the time with those who want to join the workshop.

I'd like to make it on Dec 18 (Tue) 4:00pm-6:00pm, after the exam of "Early and Medieval Church", which I think many of you will go back to school. What do you think of it? OR should you have other better time, please feel free to negotiate with me.

1. RST5258中國基督教專題研究：近代基督教來華傳教運動，由於老師將在14/11日離港，因此當日課堂取消，並於5/12補課，同學請留意。
2. 本年度學生會會費為$130；並週四膳食費為每學期$250；請各會員同學(即所有全時間的神學院同學及已申請加入為本年度神學院學生會會員的其他同學)盡快把全年合共$630的費用交給各家家長，如有問題，請與本人聯絡。
   The Student Union Fee of this year is $130, and the fee of Thursday’s dinner is $250/Sem, total $630 will be collected by “Family’s parents”, Please hand in ASAP. Thank you for your co-operation !

1. 尚未領取別士巴書券的同學，請在本星期四晚週四晚會領取，如未能在本週內領取，學生會將會把書券退回書室，如有問題，請與本人聯絡。
   Those who still not collect the “Beersheba book coupon”, please collect it within this week, we will return those “leave coupons” soon, and the last day of collection will be 10/11/2007, please contact me if any problem. thank you.
2. 為預備25/11的籌款音樂會的獻唱，各同學請於本週四晚會後留步練習。
   For practicing hymn’s offering at 25/11, there will be a short practice after this Thursday’s assembly, please stay.
3. 應崇基校牧室邀請，學生詩班將會在本星期五(9/11)崇基早會內獻詩（詩歌為”We Bring Our Thanks”），可參與的同學請在學生會佈告版內簽名或與本人聯絡，我們不會作提前預備，只會在當日週會前以半小時預備。
   There is the Invitation of the Chaplaincy of Chung Chi Collage, we will offering hymn in this coming Friday Chung Chi Assembly (9/11), please sign up at notice board or contact me if interest ,there will be only a short practice before assembly.
4. Message form Prof. Kwan:
   Both the CPE programmes offered by the HK Baptist Hospital and the Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital are now conducting their recruitment exercise. Please refer to the attached pdf file. And, please note that (1) the application forms are downloadable from the webpages of the two training centres (HKBH, AHNH), (2) Rev Lo, Prof. Kwan, and Rev Ng are offering themselves as referees for those who apply for the programmes for fieldwork credits.
